I am pleased to provide below highlights from my first quarter luxury property sales report for Massachusetts. A copy of the complete report is available to potential clients upon request.
In the first quarter of 2017, there were 643 sales at or above $1,000,000. This was unchanged from the first quarter of 2016.
- Between $1,000,000 and $1,999,999 there were 489 sales compared to 504 in 2016, a decrease of -1.01%.
- Between $2,000,000 and $2,999,999 there were 91 sales compared to 85 in 2016, an increase of 7.06%.
- Between $3,000,000 and $3,999,999 there were 34 sales compared to 33 in 2016, an increase of 3.03%.
- Between $4,000,000 and $4,999,999 there were 13 sales, compared to 20 in 2016, a decrease of 35.00%.
- Between $5,000,000 and $9,999,999 there were 15 sales, compared to 11 in 2016, an increase of 36.36%. Of the 15 sales, 11 sales were for properties in Boston
- Above $10,000,000, there were no sales in the first quarter of 2017 nor in the first quarter of 2016.
